Ingredients:

  1. Salt
  2. Flour 2 cups
  3. Jeera 1/2 tsp
  4. Pinch of Haldi
  5. Pinch of Powdered chilly
  6. Garlic Paste
  7. Oil to fry
  8. Iced water

Method:

  1. In a bowl put flour, jeera, hardi, chilly powder, Salt and Garlic Paste. Mix these for few minutes.
  2. Add 2 tablespoon oil in this mixture and rub for 7-10 minutes thoroughly.
  3. Slowly pour the ice water in the mixture and make a stiff dough.
  4. Roll it in a thin roti form and heat this on tawa for about 30 seconds each side.
  5. Lay it on a chopping board and cut it in diagonal shapes.
  6. Fry in oil until deep brown on medium heat.

Tips:

  1. Step 2 makes the Namkeen crispy.
  2. Heating on tawa prevents the diagonal shapes from sticking together.
